Bicyclists didn’t have to contend with snow Saturday, but the Perry Chamber of Commerce’s 48th annual Bike Ride to Rippey – BRR – wasn’t easy. The day was overcast with temperatures in the upper 30s and a brisk wind, making “brr” an understatement.

More than 1,100 riders registered for the 24-mile round trip from Perry to Rippey and back. In Rippey, members of the Lions Club and First United Methodist Church served lunch, with Friends of Rippey helping with organization. The Rippey Ballpark Commission and the Greene County sheriff’s office also provided assistance.
